AHS, etc.
Yesterday I presented my learning plan at the Arizona Historical Society Museum down in Tempe. I had the opportunity to present it last fall at the AZ Social Studies conference & I was asked again to present. I student taught last fall, so my old ‘mentor’ teacher was there to present along side me because I was able to do the entire plan with my old class (her current class). We made it a highly-interactive, rollar-coaster ride of a class! (Which was good because we presented after lunch.) The focus was on the homefront experience during WWII, specifically, on the Japanese internment camps that occured here in the U.S. (There were also a few internment camps up in Canada.) I used sources from the Japanese American Citizens League and the museum. So, check out my LP & my education website!
