Below is the beginning of PBS blogger Andy Carvin’s thoughts on “Generation Me,” and a subsequent link to read the rest of his post. He got the idea for his article based on an Associated Press investigation done using the Narcissistic Personality Inventory on college students. One of the researchers, Professor Jean Twenge of San Diego State University, concluded that, “Current technology fuels the increase in narcissism… By its very name, MySpace encourages attention-seeking, as does YouTube.” Twenge also blamed the “self-esteem movement” of the 1980s. Well, it’s that time of year again to celebrate the heritage of millions of Americans. I’ll be wearing green tomorrow, but that’s the extent of it! Check out the History Channel’s write up on St. Patrick. That’s right! We’re actually celebrating the life of an Irish Christian who decided to return to a land that had enslaved him, to share God’s love. I find that extraordinary.

Well, I just dugg this site called Fundrace Neighbor Search. It’s bascially a database of names and addresses of those who donated to candidates in past elections. It also states the amount they gave. Very interesting knowing that something like this is so accessible online! A little creepy if you ask me. Oh but I’ve put in a few zip codes already because I just can’t help myself!
