Second Life? More like 12th Life!

I’m a little apprehensive to explore the Second Life realm. I have so many “lives” that I’m living already… Dare I dive into another? My husband and I have a friend who founded a church in SL - almost 5000 people were there for their first virtual service! Saaaay what??!! And check out the Edu world of SL. Multiple universities are utilizing SL to hold courses, augment their curriculum, etc, etc. And… of course it’s all virtual. I just told Brent that perhaps my baby booming parents’ influence on my life will prevent me from really connecting to SL. But then again…. I’ve broken free from their i’m-don’t-get-technology-therefore-i-won’t-give-it-much-time influence in many other instances. Hmmm. I’m busy, I don’t get it, but something still intrigues me about SL. We’ll see if I can’t drum up some time for the hour long initiation “tour” sometime this year & get started. Or maybe 2008 will hold more time? Who knows! Anyone into Second Life? How’s your experience?
