Max & the 30 Kideny Stones!
Max almost died last week! Yikes! If it wasn’t for Brent being around to take care of him, I don’t know what we would have done. Max had 30 kidney stones in his bladder last week. Holy cow. He had to have surgery to take them out. Poor little guy! He’s at home now with a shaved stomach, resting and thinking of ways to score a steak. Yeah, he’s the same old Max.

We’ve done a bit of traveling the past 6 weeks. Probably why my blogging has been so quite.
At the end of May, we went on a leader retreat to an incredible house in Rocky Point, Mexico. Sooo beautiful & relaxing.
So.. since we’re running this summer-long youth program, we take the kids on various trips. The 3rd week of June was their summer camp out in beautiful Ojai, CA. It totally rocked. Then last week I took a group of 10 to help with a children’s sports camp in Vallejo, CA. So fun. But boy am I wiped out!
I’m presently at our church, waiting for the little teenagers to get out of their class. (And feeling a little stomach-sick… see previous post). We’re taking the group to Mexico the 3rd week in July to help a free day care that helps families who cannot afford care for their children, and would otherwise have to give up their children to the state. Wow! The 4th week of July, we’ll be back up in Northern California - Monterrey, CA, to help with Spirit West Coast. (Did I mention that I was pregnant?)
Have a happy summer!

To all those who may not know, there is a child growing inside me. Oh how strange it all is being my first time and all. :0) But it’s pretty cool. We got photos yesterday from the doctor of the little one - looks like there is a gotee growing or something. Yikes.
Anyway, I’ve posed this to a few friends already, but I am open to book suggestions for pregnancy/first year, etc.
Now, how can I find a way to fit in a 20 minute nap every waking hour of the day? Hmmm…
