It’s the Best!
Movie Quote from Nacho Libre:
Me? No. Come on. Don’t be crazy. I know the wrestlers get all the fancy ladies, and the clothes, and the fancy creams and lotions. But my life is good! Really good! I get to wake up every morning, at 5AM, and make some soup! It’s the best. I love it. I get to lay in a bed, all by myself, all of my life! That’s fantastic! Go. Go away! Read some books! My life is good. Real good.
OK, so I run the risk of sounding like I’m complaining. However, I wanted to have some fun with one of my favorite movie quotes. So what I’m about to write is more for humor’s sake than trying to elicit sympathy. Listen, pregnancy isn’t the end of the world. I’ve about 2-3 weeks left in this whole preg-o thing, so I guess I can say I’m a little more ’seasoned’ now. But back to the point. Sometimes I feel like Nacho with this whole pregnancy thing. So here’s my little take on Nacho’s quote:
Me? No. Come on. Don’t be crazy. I know that when you’re not pregnancy you can sleep on your stomach, eat sushi, and be able to lift heavy objects without people freaking out on you. But my life is good! Really good. I get to wake up 4 to 5 times a night to pee. It’s the best. I love it. I get to wake up with my calves on fire with charlie horses, and have my hands and feet swell up like balloons. That’s fantastic!
OK, so I’ve had my fun. I’ve actually had a pretty wonderful pregnancy, despite the nighttime adventures and exploding fingers and toes. I just wanted to write that stuff for all of my pregnant divas out there! Hang in there!
