Second Life? More like 12th Life!...

I’m a little apprehensive to explore the Second Life realm. I have so many “lives” that I’m living already… Dare I dive into another? My husband and I have a friend who founded a church in SL – almost 5000 people were there for their first virtual service! Saaaay what??!! And check out the Edu world of SL. Multiple universities are utilizing SL to hold courses, augment their curriculum, etc, etc. And… of course it’s all virtual. I just told Brent that perhaps my baby booming parents’ influence on my life will prevent me...

Rwanda Reminiscings...

13 years ago, the Rwanda genocide began, and the world stood by as 800,000 people were slaughtered over 100 days. PBS has a video series on their Frontline website documenting the details of this horrible modern-day genocide. Athough this is a difficult topic to digest for many people, I know that this is only one of many incidences that we cannot ignore, or forget. Take a look at the site, and then I encourage you to pray and see how we can be part of the answer for our world....
